So if we were to rewind a year or so back there wouldn’t be much that would get me into a pair of pants, let alone jeans. But when I came across a few fun floral pairs in London I couldn’t resist. They are perfect for this autumn weather that is neither hot or cold. And while my friend Tashka and I had so much fun on our last photography outing we decided to do it again, this time sporting our favourite trend.
This time we were stumped as to where to go. We wanted a pretty garden setting but were sceptical we would find anything that special in our areas. Alas our lovely friend Oli from Sorry I’m Late blog recommended we check out Swaine Gardens where she had her wedding photos taken.
As Tashka and I saw the sign we walked down a long windy road we were sure was someone’s backyard. But as we continued along we finally emerged into this beautiful large garden that felt like The Secret Garden I had always dreamed about after reading the book when I was younger. With moss-covered stone staircases, flower bushes and a little creek, it was the perfect place to escape the bustling world next door.
Unfortunately the afternoon flew past and the sun went down too soon for our liking. Next time we’ll have to remember to start out long leisurely lunch a little earlier. But don’t worry, we are already planning our next afternoon shoot… Stay tuned.
