A truly breathtaking editorial exclusively for Fashion Gone Rogue by Antia Pagant featuring dollface Brynja Jónbjarnardóttir. The team at Fashion Gone Rogue are supporting young budding talent by publishing their work on their website and sharing it with the world. It is always nice to be introduced to fresh new talent in the industry.

Each image from ‘Light & Magic’ has been carefully constructed from the lighting right down to the vibrant flowers in Brynja’s hair. I love each image more than the last, and this editorial leaves my heart smiling the biggest smile. Stylist Gerard Angulo has showcased spring’s hottest trends of mint tweeds, white lace and metallic leather in a delightfully subtle way. Although I don’t feel this editorial is completely cohesive, I do think that each and every image is powerful and memorable in it’s own right.

In the latest isse of Lula Magazine my favourite creative duo Leith Clark and Ellen Von Unwerth create a fantastical circus themed editorial. Model Rasa Zukauskaite is dressed up in many a sparkly number by Miu Miu, Prada and Christopher Kane whilst making a few circus friends along the way. Both Leith and Ellen know how to create feminine images, without making them overtly girly and youthful. They make a perfect team.
The end photos are lovely, but I much prefer the video version. Take a peek below…

From the February issue of Marie Claire China, Amber Gray shoots Masha P and Anna I cooking up a storm, in fabulous form. It is 50's pastels at it's best with the gorgeous Louis Vuitton tweed suits, to the Prada embellished one-piece and Viktor & Rolf ribbon coat to name a few stand-out pieces. It doesn't stop there. Powdered pastel bouffants and neon brows completed the look by Yoichi Tomizawa and David Tibilla. This candy-coloured editorial made me long for bubblegum pink hair. A trip to my nearest bakery was the only fix.

I thought I would turn back time and include some screenshots from a short film I made with Melbourne-based cinematographer Jenna Eriksen. Doll Is Mine is about some young girls who are lured by a music-box ballerina through the woods and taken to a magical tea party. They indulge in delicious treats and flowing champagne, and ultimately trapped in the music-box owner’s cottage. Enjoy!

Tonight I was introduced to the beautiful work of New York stylist Emily Bess when I came across an exclusive editorial for Fashion Gone Rogue, ‘Old World Circus’. The muted photography of Xi Sonsong emphasizes the dreamy, fairytale atmosphere. And although too many props usually equates to crowded images and mixed messages, here Emily Bess makes it work in a colourful, clashing fantasy. From swords to victorian lace, perfectly rouged cheeks and bare feet; this romantic story has it all.
Anyone that knows me, will immediately understand why I love this editorial. Anything that has lace bows, unicorns with flowers, and a doll-faced girl holding a cat is my idea of heaven. But beyond that, the subtle inclusion of armour, medallion necklaces and dark lips really takes this story beyond a girly fantasy.
